Our smart HVAC control box program delivered three AC controller models for central air-conditioning — two-speed fan control, heating/cooling mode switching, temperature adjustment, timer and custom branding, in durable enclosed housings.
Because we also run in-house SMT & THT assembly and PCB testing, the plastic line and the electronics line work under one program: housing, board, assembly and functional verification — a finished device, not just a shell.

The essentials behind PCB boards and PCBA — what they are, how they differ, and how HS manufactures them from prototype to mass production.
What is a PCB?
A PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is the substrate that mechanically supports electronic components and provides electrical connections through conductive traces. A bare PCB is not, by itself, a finished electronic product.
What is a PCBA?
PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) is the board created by mounting and soldering electronic parts onto a bare PCB according to the design. The finished board includes the PCB, SMT components, through-hole (DIP) parts, firmware programming and functional testing.
What is the difference between a PCB and a PCBA?
A PCB is the bare board — the focus is substrate material, traces, plating, solder mask and surface finish. A PCBA is the PCB after component placement, insertion, soldering, inspection and required testing are complete.
What is the difference between PCB manufacturing and PCB assembly?
PCB manufacturing (fabrication) produces the bare board; PCB assembly mounts the components onto it. A complete electronics manufacturing service extends further into testing, programming, wiring harnesses, mechanical parts and box build.
What is EMS?
EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) is when a single partner handles multiple stages of electronics production — typically component sourcing, PCB assembly and testing, and often design and fabrication. HS acts as an EMS / PCBA manufacturer: design, PCB fabrication, SMT/DIP, test and delivery under one roof.
What is turnkey PCB assembly?
In a turnkey model the supplier manages the complete sourcing and manufacturing chain — bare boards, component procurement, PCB assembly and related production services — and delivers ready-to-use PCBAs. You provide the design files (Gerber, BOM, pick-and-place); HS handles the rest.
